DualSLIM feedthroughs with #4-40 UNC imperial mounting thread
New mounting options for DualSLIM space-saving, narrow, feedthrough connectors to suit North America.

CLIFF™ Electronics, leaders in the design, development and manufacture of connectors and test equipment, have extended their DualSLIM metal feedthrough connector series to meet the requirements of the market in North America. The introduction of an imperial, #4-40, quarter-inch, full-thread, cap screw mounting option will increase acceptance in the USA and Canada where M3 metric threaded connectors are not commonly used.
The CLIFF™ DualSLIM range allows customers to choose between mounting the connectors from the front of the panel which permits simple and fast changing of connectors in the field, or the rear which presents a lower profile, flush appearance to the connectors when rack-mounted or side-by-side.

DualSLIM connectors offer panel builders and system integrators the ability to mount up to 20 connectors in a 1U × 19″ rack panel. At just 19 mm wide, the DualSLIM range offers a more compact alternative to CLIFF™’s very popular 26 mm wide XLR form-factor feedthrough product range. Just 16 of the XLR-format design can be mounted in a 19″ rack panel.
The DualSLIM feedthrough connector range is available in
a black plastic frame with
- plain ⌀2.5 mm,
- plain ⌀3.2 mm or
- countersunk ⌀3.2 mm
fixing holes.
A metal frame version is available finished in nickel or black with
- plain ⌀3.2 mm,
- countersunk ⌀3.2 mm,
- M3 threaded or
- #4-40 UNC threaded
fixing holes.
Panel cut-out dimensions are 17.15 mm (0.675 ″) × 22.86 mm (0.9 ″) with mounting hole centres centers of 29 mm (0.75 ″).
The DualSLIM metal connector range includes

With its high panel density, (and low profile if rear-mounted), the CLIFF™ Electronics DualSLIM may be used in audio, broadcast, AV and communication installations, medical, education and research, industrial control and space. DualSLIMs can also be designed in alongside 1U rack-mounted NUCs and mini-PCs such as the Raspberry Pi, for projects of every scale; from custom-tuned gaming machines to industrial applications. They are ideal for space-constrained, embedded or IoT systems, digital signage, media production and video conferencing applications.
