About CLIFF

Cliff Plastic Products was founded in 1964, initially occupying a small unit in Telscombe Cliffs on the South Coast of England. The company experienced rapid growth throughout these years, designing and manufacturing products to meet the increasing demands of the expanding musical instrument manufacturing market in the UK. Cliff connectors have been used by some of the most famous musical instrument equipment manufacturers throughout the past 40 years including Marshall, Fender, Hi-Watt, Ampeg, JBL, QSC Audio to name but a few and Cliff continues to be an innovative designer and market leader in this field.

Cliff BuildingIn 2002, Cliff Plastic Products changed their name to CliffGroup Ltd. and recently moved into a new purpose built 25,000-sq. ft factory where it employs over 80 people. Current production comprises of Jack Sockets, Terminal Binding Posts, Instrumentation Connectors, Cabinet Hardware and custom injection and insert molded parts produced on Arburg and Engel molding machines. High precision turned and pressed parts are added by either manual insertion or by state of the art robot technology. Production is controlled and monitored on an ISO 9002 approved computerized system.

We also have our own manufacturing facilities in South East China which enables us to remain competitive in all areas of production. Cliff China has ten molding machines of various sizes and Insert Molding facilities. It also has stamping and auto lathe production of turned parts, with the facilities needed for the manual assembly of components.

CliffGroup Ltd (formerly Cliff Plastic Products) was established in 1964 and is founding organization of the Cliff group of companies. CliffGroup operates from a purpose built 25,000 square foot facility in Lewes, East Sussex.

Cliff Electronics (Aust) Pty Ltd. was established in Queensland Australia in 1984 to promote, warehouse and distribute Cliff products throughout Australia and New Zealand and the surrounding Pacific region.

Cliff Electronic Components, Inc. was established in 1991 to promote, warehouse and distribute the products manufactured by Cliff throughout North and South America. The Cliff USA head office is located in Topeka, Kansas.

Cliff (Hong Kong) Ltd. was established in 2004 to promote, warehouse and distribute the products manufactured by Cliff throughout Asia.

Technical Support

Cliff Trade ShowFor all our products we can give expert advice on design, manufacturing methods and use of materials. Our qualified engineering personnel are able to provide a technical design service and work closely with customers to achieve the most effective solutions.

Designs are produced using the latest 3D CAD modeling software which aids the product design, visualization and enables rapid prototyping utilizing SLA, vacuum casting etc. Comprehensive product data and specification sheets are produced to assist customers to select precisely the right product for their particular design.

We have the facilities to offer customers the complete service from the initial design stage to full manufacture and we always aim to produce the most economic solutions.
